The first time I visited Russia (Moscow) in the late 1980's, I had this wonderful dish at
Ludmilla's home. Even though she was born and raised in Russia, she was heavily into her
Hungarian heritage. The real thing, dark red and delicious. A long time cooking for flavor
infusion. but really easy to make. The Soup course she served along with this was Gulyas
(Goulash).
