My wife LOVES Split Pea Soup (I don't), so I tend to make a double batch of this Soup so
she can freeze it in pints and enjoy a bowl whenever she likes. Substituting Lentils for the
Split Peas works equally well. For information about the toxins found in ALL Dried Beans,

Beans have instructions for doing a "quick soak". Please take the time to soak any dried
Beans for at least 8 hours. ALWAYS discard the soaking water since that is where all of
those poisonous toxins have relocated.
